Branch Manager - Industrial Pump Sales and Service

About the role

Master Pumps & Power, a SunSource company, is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to support field sales, customers, and internal departments. The role involves product and application expertise, pump sizing and selection, proposal generation, and order management across multiple states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to grow the customer base, increase store traffic, and improve profitability.
• Meet sales targets by training, motivating, and mentoring sales staff.
• Quote prices, process customer orders, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage the shop service department for repairs, fabrication, and pump unit builds.
• Report on buying trends, customer needs, and profitability.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals and handle staff or customer issues.

Required profile

• Proven successful experience as a store/branch manager.
• Experience in industrial sales or rotating equipment.
• Strong leadership, business orientation, and sales‑driven mindset.
• Outstanding customer service and management abilities.
• BS degree in Business Administration or Industrial Distribution.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, safety rules, and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency in calculating discounts, commissions, percentages, and using pump sizing software.
• Working knowledge of positive displacement and centrifugal pumps.
• Capability to troubleshoot technical issues over the phone.
• Effective use of MS Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, CRM, and accounting systems.
