Bilingual Virtual Assistant – Medicaid Outreach Caller (English/Spanish)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Virtual Assistant to conduct Medicaid outreach calls to residents of the Bronx, NY. The role is fully remote and focuses on connecting eligible individuals with free Medicaid support programs, such as home‑delivered meals, while providing clear information in both English and Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to assess eligibility for Medicaid support programs.
• Explain program benefits and next steps clearly in Spanish and English.
• Answer questions, address concerns, and provide a warm, professional experience.
• Collect basic personal information and transfer interested callers to the intake team.
• Document call outcomes and notes accurately in the CRM or spreadsheet system.
• Follow up with applicants, manage callbacks, and support enrollment.
• Maintain cultural competence and empathy when interacting with elderly and low‑income populations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cold calling, customer service, healthcare, Medicaid, or community outreach.
• Comfortable speaking on the phone for extended periods.
• Experience documenting interactions in a CRM, spreadsheet, or similar tool.
• Basic computer and data‑entry skills.
• Proven ability to communicate with Spanish‑speaking patients or families.
• Experience working with elderly or low‑income individuals.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and strong conversational English (C1 level).
• Available to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours with a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
