Autonomous Semi Technician - Swing Shift

About the role

Waabi is a leader in Physical AI, building autonomous trucks for commercial use. The Autonomous Semi Technician works on the Class 8 autonomous fleet to keep vehicles performing safely and efficiently during swing‑shift hours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the autonomous trucking fleet.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor and other vehicle systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components following Waabi work instructions and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support to truck operators and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on improvements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive technology or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, preferably in heavy‑duty trucking; ASE certifications are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge of autonomous sensor systems, including cameras, GPS and onboard computer platforms.
