Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Jordan Toyota, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards. The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and access to factory‑sponsored training.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders, moving vehicles to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department, tag warranty parts, and ensure proper parts handling.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate testing while keeping customer vehicles off personal errands.
• Supervise any apprentice technicians assigned to the work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety and hazardous‑waste regulations.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and attend training classes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity and good judgment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, drug testing and pre‑employment assessments.

Required skills

• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
