Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Jordan Toyota, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards. You will work directly on customer vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders, moving them to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components and manage warranty parts.
• Conduct road‑tests or coordinate with test technicians as needed.
• Supervise any apprentice technicians assigned to you.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents immediately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity and good judgment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background checks, motor‑vehicle record review, drug testing and pre‑employment assessments.

Required skills

• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
