Auto Process Machinist – 2nd Shift

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Auto Process Machinist to join its manufacturing team on a second‑shift schedule (Monday‑Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST). The role focuses on operating automated equipment, performing quality inspections, and supporting the production of cutting instruments for eye‑care products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated machinery in accordance with work instructions and GMP/GDP standards.
• Perform quality inspections using gauges, fixtures, and statistical methods to ensure compliance.
• Handle material flow, conduct line clearances, mechanical checks, and equipment changeovers.
• Resolve minor equipment issues and document actions taken.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
• Availability to work the specified second‑shift hours.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
