Assistant/Associate Clinical-Track Professor of Communication Disorders

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Assistant or Associate Clinical-Track Professor to join the Department of Athletic Training and Communication Disorders. This 9‑month faculty position is based on the Fort Worth campus and focuses on teaching, clinical supervision, research, and service in communication disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in communication disorders and related fields.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to students in practicum and field experiences.
• Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with accreditation standards.
• Conduct scholarly research and contribute to the department’s research agenda.
• Participate in departmental, university, and professional service activities.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Au.D., or equivalent) in Communication Disorders or a closely related field.
• Relevant clinical experience and, where applicable, professional licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the college level.
• Commitment to scholarly research and service.
