About the role

Ohio University Southern seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing for its on‑campus AAS‑N and BSN programs. The position begins in the Fall semester of 2026 and focuses on laboratory and clinical instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate laboratory and simulation‑based nursing instruction.
• Collaborate with course faculty to define course, clinical, and laboratory expectations.
• Identify student learning needs and provide guidance on professional attitudes, knowledge, and skills.
• Use diverse teaching methods to support problem‑solving and skill development.
• Assess and measure student performance in laboratory and clinical settings.
• Maintain a presence on campus and at regional clinical sites throughout the academic year.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure (must be uploaded with application).
• Eligibility to work within Ohio University’s regional higher‑education system.
• Commitment to full‑time, 9‑month renewable appointment.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
