Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration

About the role

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Healthcare Administration to begin as early as Fall 2027. This 9‑month appointment involves on‑campus teaching, research, and service to advance the college’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and, when appropriate, graduate courses in healthcare administration covering topics such as health information systems, AI, project management, health law, and health services research.
• Develop and maintain an active research program, pursue external funding, and disseminate findings through peer‑reviewed publications and presentations.
• Provide student mentorship, advising, and supervision of experiential learning projects and internships.
• Participate in college, university, and professional service activities, including committee work and program assessment.

Required profile

• PhD in Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or a closely related field (must be conferred at appointment).
• Evidence of scholarly activity meeting tenure‑track expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate healthcare administration courses across multiple content areas.
