About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Department of Internal Medicine, Hematology‑Oncology. This full‑time faculty position involves a blend of patient care, research, and teaching within a collaborative academic health‑care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
- Develop and conduct independent and collaborative research projects.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in both classroom and clinical settings.
- Participate in departmental service, including committees and community outreach.
- Secure external funding and contribute to scholarly publications.
Required profile
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Hematology‑Oncology.
- Eligibility for academic appointment at the assistant professor level.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, research, and education.
- Legal authority to work in the United States.
