Assistant Dean of Teaching and Learning

About the role

The Saint Louis University School of Law seeks an Assistant Dean of Teaching and Learning to lead academic support, bar preparation, and assessment initiatives. Reporting to the Dean and collaborating with the Academic Resource Center, the role provides faculty support and oversees a comprehensive student success program.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the academic success program, including bar exam preparation curriculum.
• Collaborate with academic support faculty and the Assistant Director of the Academic Resource Center.
• Teach assigned courses and contribute to curriculum design.
• Collect data, assess outcomes, and report findings to inform continuous improvement.
• Serve as a resource for faculty on teaching and learning best practices.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and inclusive pedagogy.
• Experience in academic support, curriculum design, and bar exam preparation.
• Leadership experience within an academic success program.
• Familiarity with developments related to the NextGen bar exam.
