About the role
The Assistant Community Manager (Lease Up) supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community. Based in Austin, this role focuses on rent collection, invoice processing, and ensuring accurate financial reporting using property management software.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments daily.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and manage cash flow.
- Generate monthly close‑out and financial reports for the community.
- Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Operate Yardi/OneSite software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
- Assist with resident move‑out procedures, including deposit calculations and lease termination fees.
- Support eviction processes in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented individual with strong numerical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience or interest in property management and real‑estate finance.
- Comfortable handling confidential financial information.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
- Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
