APRN/PA – Emergency Department & Clinical Decision Unit

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit. This full‑time clinical staff position provides direct patient care, assessment, and treatment in a fast‑paced emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing or physician assistant services to patients in the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit.
• Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, timely care.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.

Required profile

• Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System eligible to apply through Workday.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
