APRN - Myeloma Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its Myeloma Clinic in Little Rock. The APRN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with multiple myeloma, collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans for myeloma patients.
• Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, supportive medications, and other therapeutic interventions within scope of practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care, including referrals to specialists, labs, and imaging.
• Educate patients and families about disease process, treatment options, and self‑management strategies.
• Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and research activities as needed.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Arkansas.
• Experience in oncology or hematology nursing, preferably with multiple myeloma.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Prescriptive authority for oncology medications.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
