Application Engineering Manager

About the role

This brand‑new position is with a fast‑growing industrial technology startup focused on advanced water treatment. The role leads applications engineering at the intersection of commercial strategy, technical solution design, and scalable product deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a technical team developing customer‑specific industrial water‑treatment solutions.
• Standardise system designs into modular, repeatable architectures.
• Bridge sales, product, and engineering functions to support commercial growth.
• Oversee technical proposals, process design, and project risk assessment.
• Build team capabilities, processes, tools, and engineering standards.
• Improve efficiency through workflow automation and knowledge‑system development.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in applications or process engineering within industrial water or wastewater.
• Hands‑on experience with membrane systems (e.g., UF, NF, RO) and treatment‑train design.
• Strong systems‑engineering background across process, mechanical, controls, and operations.
• Proven ability to develop technical proposals and engage in customer‑facing technical sales.
• Comfortable scaling teams, standardising processes, and thriving in high‑growth environments.
