Advanced Practice RN/Physician Assistant – Shoulder APP

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Shoulder Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports orthopedic care for shoulder patients and collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and allied health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for shoulder injuries and postoperative follow‑up.
• Conduct assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Assist in surgical procedures and perform postoperative evaluations.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
