Advanced Practice RN – Pediatric Pulmonary

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide specialized care for pediatric pulmonary patients. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for children with pulmonary conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and interventions in accordance with APRN scope of practice.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on disease management and preventive strategies.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, research projects, and clinical education activities.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted APRN license in the United States.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on pediatrics or pulmonary care.
• Demonstrated experience caring for pediatric patients with respiratory or pulmonary disorders.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Knowledge of pediatric pulmonary diseases, treatments, and equipment.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
