Advanced Practice Provider – Family Medicine (Integrative Medicine)

About the role

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its Integrative Medicine Physicians team in Harrisonburg, VA. The APP will deliver comprehensive primary-care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient, team-based setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide preventive, chronic disease management and acute care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Maintain a typical schedule of 36 patient contact hours plus 4 administrative hours per week, averaging 14-16 patients per day.
• Collaborate daily with two physicians, two other APPs and support staff, utilizing Epic EHR and DAX Copilot AI for documentation.
• Participate in a minimal on-call rotation (once every eight weeks) and coordinate with a 24/7 nurse triage team as needed.

Required profile

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with a Master's degree.
• At least five years of direct-care RN experience, preferably in medical-surgical, emergency, or ambulatory settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Experience using AI-assisted transcription tools such as DAX Copilot.
