Adjunct Faculty – Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Program

About the role

Walden University seeks experienced public health professionals to join its Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program as part‑time adjunct faculty. You will deliver online courses, mentor doctoral students, and may also lead face‑to‑face or virtual seminars during academic residencies.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned DrPH courses using the Canvas learning management system.
• Engage with students through discussion boards, email, and virtual office hours.
• Grade assignments and provide personalized feedback within established timelines.
• Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours and maintain a presence in the virtual classroom at least four days per week.
• Adhere to Walden’s Faculty Handbook, Code of Conduct, and course rubrics.

Required profile

• Advanced degree and professional experience in public health.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the doctoral level, preferably online.
• Commitment to student success and academic integrity.
• Willingness to work on a hybrid schedule with four in‑office days per week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Canvas LMS.
• Strong online instructional and mentoring capabilities.
