Director, AP French Language and Culture

About the role

The College Board is seeking a Director to lead the AP French Language and Culture program. This senior position oversees the exam, curriculum, and professional development content, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of the AP French exam, curriculum, and professional development resources.
• Manage the full lifecycle of assessment items, from authoring through administration.
• Train and collaborate with subject‑matter experts, including college professors and secondary teachers.
• Integrate AI technologies ethically to support fairness, validity, and innovation in assessment creation and review.
• Translate between academic experts and technical psychometricians.
• Develop formative assessment materials and resources for AP French teachers worldwide.
• Serve as the primary contact for committees and expert communities related to AP French.
• Partner with other AP teams to drive strategic growth of the French Language and Culture program globally.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading curriculum and assessment initiatives in an educational setting.
• Proven ability to work with diverse subject‑matter experts and technical teams.
• Experience integrating emerging technologies, such as AI, into assessment processes.
