Account Manager – IT Technology Sales (K‑12 Focus)

About the role
GigaKOM is expanding its presence in California’s public‑sector market and seeks an Account Manager to drive IT technology sales within K‑12 school districts. You will act as a trusted advisor to superintendents, CIOs and IT directors, helping them modernize networking, security and infrastructure to support digital learning.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and close new K‑12 district opportunities across Central California.
- Build long‑term relationships with district leadership and IT stakeholders.
- Develop multi‑year account strategies aligned with district technology roadmaps.
- Manage RFPs, RFQs, bids and cooperative purchasing contracts, ensuring compliance with public‑sector procurement rules.
- Leverage funding programs such as E‑Rate and ESSER to structure competitive proposals.
- Present technical and business value propositions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecast accurately and achieve revenue and margin targets.
Required profile
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in SLED or public‑sector environments.
- Proven success selling technology solutions to K‑12 school districts.
- Strong understanding of public procurement processes and education funding programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
