Access Services Supervisor

About the role

The Access Services Supervisor will lead the Access Services team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient access to campus facilities and systems. This position supports the university’s mission by maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, students, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of access control systems and related services.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Access Services staff.
• Coordinate with IT, security, and facilities departments to integrate access solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain access policies and procedures.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement for access technology.
• Prepare reports and documentation for leadership and audit purposes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, security, or a related field.
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a university or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of access control systems, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
