2027 Summer Business Technology Internship

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is offering a 9‑week, 35‑hour‑per‑week summer internship in Business Technology for 2027. Interns will work in a hybrid setting at the downtown St. Louis campus, gaining hands‑on experience on projects that support the Bank’s operations and impact the national economy.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and document databases in an Amazon Web Services environment, including data matching pipelines and analytical tools.
• Support product ownership activities on a scrum team, including backlog management in Jira and documentation in Confluence.
• Assist the Information Security Compliance team with software security reviews, access changes, and content creation.
• Analyze reports, develop automation scripts, and contribute to advanced analytics, GenAI, and machine‑learning experiments.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate or graduate student eligible for a summer internship.
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility for enhanced background screening as required.
• Strong interest in coding, data analysis, and emerging technologies.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with AWS services.
• SQL and R for data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Basic knowledge of machine‑learning concepts and AI tools.
