About the role

HighKey Agency is seeking a hybrid long‑form YouTube video editor who can move fluidly between narrative‑driven storytelling and fast‑paced, personality‑focused content. You will turn raw footage into engaging videos that keep viewers watching and drive brand performance.

Key responsibilities

• Edit long‑form videos (8–15+ minutes) with strong pacing, narrative flow and viewer engagement.
• Structure content into compelling story arcs, highlighting key moments, reactions and emotional beats.
• Use music, sound design, cutaways, graphics and pattern interrupts intentionally.
• Adapt editing style to different creators, brands and content types.
• Collaborate with internal teams to execute creative direction efficiently.
• Occasionally create short‑form cutdowns from long‑form content.

Required profile

• Proven experience editing long‑form YouTube content with strong retention.
• Ability to shift naturally between story‑driven and personality‑driven editing styles.
• Strong understanding of viewer retention, pacing and modern long‑form trends.
• Effective communication, deadline management and openness to feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with sound design, music selection and visual emphasis.
• Basic motion‑graphics or After Effects knowledge is a plus.
