Youth Multi-Sport Coach - South San Francisco

About the role

ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars) is seeking passionate, committed part-time Youth Multi-Sport Coaches in South San Francisco to lead or assist in three weekly sports enrichment classes at after-school programs. The season runs from September 8 to December 2026, on Tuesday to Thursday afternoons, with a time commitment of 6-10 hours per week, typically between 2pm and 6pm depending on how many classes you teach. No previous coaching experience is required, as all coaches receive training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a fun and safe weekly sports enrichment class for children aged 5-10; training is provided.
• Ensure a safe and reliable program by arriving on time each week for the entire season.
• Attend an in-person orientation training.
• Interact positively with parents, teachers and school staff.
• Set up before and clean up after each program.

Required profile

• Reliable transportation to the coaching sites; a vehicle is very helpful because equipment may need to be brought to and from class.
• Responsible and professional: arrive on time, keep accurate attendance, and interact positively with parents and school staff.
• Strong communication skills, using email and phone with ANTS, parents and site staff.
• Enthusiastic, fun and patient with young children, who develop at their own pace.
• Experience as a player or coach (at least two years) is highly valued but optional.
• Must pass a federal and state background check and/or FBI fingerprinting (Livescan) and test negative for tuberculosis within the last four years.

What we offer

• Pay of $25-30 per hour.
• Flexible schedule: a few hours in the afternoon while keeping school and other commitments.
• Ongoing support and training.
• Experience in early childhood sports education.
