World Language Teacher – French/Spanish (2026‑2027)

About the role

The Dover Public Schools district is seeking a full‑time World Language Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year at Dover High School. The successful candidate will deliver French and/or Spanish instruction across multiple proficiency levels, fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach French and/or Spanish courses ranging from introductory to advanced levels.
• Develop and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom climate.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) certification in French and/or Spanish.
• Experience working with a diverse student population.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional strategies and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Preferred experience teaching multiple language levels.
