About the role

Join a historic American furniture workshop where craftsmanship and design intersect. As a Woodworker/Craftsperson you will help create high‑end, handmade furniture for a discerning clientele, working alongside a team of skilled artisans in our Auburn facility.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to produce component parts.
• Grind seats, profile backs, sand parts and sub‑assemblies, and joint drawers and other furniture elements.
• Inspect components for color, quality, and fit, correcting defects as needed.
• Build, maintain, and improve jigs and fixtures to support efficient production.
• Perform minor and major repairs, touch‑ups, and finish work.
• Assist other departments and train fellow employees in cabinetmaking techniques when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced workshop.
• Willingness to adapt, innovate, and seek clarity in communication.
• Comfort with mathematical concepts such as fractions, ratios, and percentages for practical applications.

Required skills

• Woodworking and cabinetmaking techniques.
• Proficient use of basic hand tools and accurate measuring instruments.
• Grinding, sanding, and jig construction.
• Blueprint and shop‑drawing interpretation.
• Inspection for quality, color, and fit.
