Windows Server Automation Engineer (VMware)

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Windows Server and VMware to design and deliver a unified monitoring and remediation platform for a complex, multi‑technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build a unified monitoring framework that integrates Splunk, Dynatrace, security platforms and logs from Windows, Linux, storage, network, databases and VMware environments.
• Design and implement intelligent alerting and automated remediation workflows to reduce manual effort and speed incident resolution.
• Aggregate, normalize and correlate data from diverse sources to close visibility gaps and deliver actionable insights.
• Create a common GUI‑based dashboard (using Flask/Django or similar) for real‑time monitoring, reporting and alert management across the entire infrastructure stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or systems engineering.
• Proven expertise in building large‑scale monitoring and automation solutions for global teams.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL) and VMware environments, with exposure to IBM Power/AIX and LinuxOne.
• Hands‑on experience with backup platforms (Rubrik, Data Domain, Infinibox) and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB).

Required skills

• Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash/Korn scripting.
• Splunk, Dynatrace, and other enterprise monitoring tools.
• GUI development using Flask, Django or comparable frameworks.
• Understanding of storage arrays, SAN and network switches, IP traffic monitoring.
• Security and compliance awareness for infrastructure logging.
