Wind Site Technician II

About the role

As a Wind Site Technician II you will join Vestas’ field team to keep wind turbines operating safely and efficiently. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support the delivery of clean energy to local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines alongside your crew.
• Conduct safety inspections and follow all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work activities and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time‑code all tasks to support tracking of duration and efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a safety‑first mindset.
• Physically fit, comfortable working at heights and in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to read, speak and follow instructions in English.
• High school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
