Wet Cleans Equipment Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring a Wet Cleans Equipment Technician in Austin, Texas. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment, requiring cleanroom attire, standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs; PPE and exposure to hazardous processing materials may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment
• Improve system performance to meet process requirements and reduce repetitive tool breakdowns
• Monitor and analyze tool data, recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures
• Work with engineers to design and run equipment improvement projects
• Communicate machine status clearly, in writing and verbally, to engineers and technicians on other shifts

Required profile

• 3-5 years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience preferred
• Able to stand or walk up to 12 hours per shift
• Basic computer skills, MS Office, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong work ethic and verifiable references
• Prior experience with tools such as SCP 9400 Wet Hoods, MEI Wet Bench, SCP E200, Screen WS 820L, Akrion GAMA, Novellus Sabre, Semitool spray solvent or spray acid tools is preferred

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Problem-solving, project management and knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing setting
