West Coast Operations Coordinator

About the role

As our business expands across the West Coast, we need a motivated Operations Coordinator to support customers and carriers during Pacific Time business hours. Based in our Jacksonville office, you will manage shipments from pickup through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage active shipments to ensure on‑time pickup and delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transportation issues while providing timely updates.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time shipment information within internal systems.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless freight execution.
• Partner with the daytime operations team for smooth shift transitions.
• Maintain detailed records of shipment activity, communications, and issue resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.

Required profile

• 1+ year of freight brokerage or transportation logistics experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to quickly learn transportation management systems (TMS).
