Wellness Nurse - Sun-Tues 6pm-6am

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a Wellness Nurse to join its team in Lone Tree, working the Sunday to Tuesday shift from 6pm to 6am. The nurse acts as charge nurse in the absence of the Executive Director and Director of Health & Wellness and contributes to medication management and resident care.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as charge nurse when the Executive Director and Director of Health & Wellness are absent
• Contribute to medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation and compliance with state regulations, company policy and procedures
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean and safe
• Maintain care partners and medication assistants' knowledge of each resident's condition and train them to deliver care professionally and sensitively
• Assist residents with self-medication and implement plans of care and change-of-condition plans recommended by the Resident Wellness Director
• Document care accurately and on time, complete electronic health record charting, assessments, accident and incident reports and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and responsible parties
• Manage emergency situations such as disasters and fires, and ensure adequately trained care partners are available each shift

Required profile

• Licensed Vocational Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license (LVN/LPN preferred)
• Two years of experience in a senior living environment preferred
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays

• Effective communication with residents, families, vendors, referral sources and outside contacts
• Strong organizational skills and ability to make independent decisions
• Ability to read and interpret complex information and adapt quickly to changing demands
• Neat appearance in line with the dress code
