Medication Assistant (Thurs-Sat 6am-6pm)

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a Medication Assistant (QMAPS) to work its Thursday to Saturday 6am-6pm shift at a senior living facility in Lone Tree. The role supports residents' personal care, daily living and well-being while following the service plan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living as assigned and requested, in line with the service plan.
• Perform daily housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned, using established procedures and standards.
• Review and take part in 24-hour reports, shift-change reports and verbal reports as needed.
• Help residents to and from scheduled life-enrichment programs and promote their personal choices, independence and spiritual needs.
• Provide verbal encouragement and support, and prioritize tasks as residents' needs change.
• Notify the Director of Health & Wellness and other departments when a resident's needs change, and respond promptly to resident pendant/wearable calls.
• Maintain infection control practices, report accidents and incidents to the supervisor, and keep residents' personal care information confidential.
• Honor residents' personal and property rights, stay ready for emergencies such as fires and disasters, and ensure compliance with new resident care needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide preferred but not required.
• License or certificate for Medication Assistance preferred where state regulations require it.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Able to read and write simple instructions and correspondence, and to handle difficult situations.
