Wellness Nurse (LPN) - Per Diem

About the role

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Wellness Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness. The role is led by the community's Health and Wellness Director (RN) and helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the Certified Nursing Assistants. It is a part-time, per diem position with three possible shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health, safety and well-being of all residents.
• Assist in training and monitoring of medication administration.
• Supervise care staff in line with state regulations and community policies.
• Maintain clinical quality assurance according to federal, state and local standards.
• Conduct thorough resident assessments.
• Promote high-quality service to residents while demonstrating the company's mission.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN license.
• At least 2 years' experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health or a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience working with residents with Alzheimer's or other related dementias.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practices.
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently, using proper body mechanics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to learn new applications.
