About the role
The Welding & Joining Technology Instructor will deliver associate‑level welding instruction in classroom and lab environments at Central Georgia Technical College. The role involves preparing syllabi, lesson plans, and evaluating student progress while supporting adjunct faculty.
Key responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on welding and joining instruction, develop lesson plans and maintain grade books.
- Prepare and follow approved course syllabi, maintain program requirements, and complete required reports and inventories.
- Mentor adjunct faculty and may serve as lead instructor for the discipline.
- Travel to multiple campus sites, including dual‑enrollment locations, and deliver instruction in face‑to‑face or distance formats.
Required profile
- Earned Technical Certificate of Credit or higher in Welding and Joining Technology, or equivalent college coursework.
- Alternative qualification: relevant certification or license plus at least one year of related work experience.
- Submission of a complete application packet including resume, transcripts, and qualification forms.
