Weekend Manufacturing Engineer – Structural Assembly

About the role

Join BETA Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer on the weekend shift, supporting airframe assembly for electric aircraft. You will work directly on the Structural Assembly line, driving process improvements to reduce cycle time, labor hours, and non‑conformances.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement assembly methods for complex aircraft structures.
• Create and improve work instructions that integrate engineering design requirements.
• Apply FMEA and DOE techniques to identify root causes and execute corrective actions.
• Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through certification.
• Use Lean Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvements, integrate automation, and increase yield.

Required profile

• Highly motivated to accelerate aircraft production.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on experience building and fixing mechanical components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams (production, design, quality, supply chain, certification).

Required skills

• CAD design experience – 3DX/CATIA preferred.
• ERP system tools – PLEX considered an asset.
• FMEA and DOE methodology.
• Lean Six Sigma techniques.
• Design and implementation of manufacturing aids, tooling, and drilling/fastening processes.
