About the role
Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a Web Design Systems Designer you will own the creation of client design systems, turning brand guidelines and reference sites into reusable token architectures and component libraries.
Key responsibilities
- Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that can be read predictably by the pipeline.
- Ship core component libraries that function across entire sites, not just homepages.
- Document systems so developers or automated pipelines can execute them without questions.
- Work across several distinct client brands simultaneously while maintaining structural rigor.
Required profile
- 4+ years of web design experience with proven design‑system work in a portfolio.
- Strong English communication and ability to overlap with US business hours.
Required skills
- Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto‑layout, and variants.
- Experience building token architecture and component libraries.
