Watchlist Analyst Jr.

About the role

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to DIA's Defense Combating Terrorism Office, including national watchlisting support to the TIDE database, assessments for the Pentagon and Joint Staff, and 24/7 support to DoD and partners on transnational and regional terrorist threats. The Watchlist Analyst Jr. reviews DoD datasets for identifying information on known or suspected terrorists, compiles nomination reports and meets the Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) production schedule. The position is first shift, 8 hours per day.

Key responsibilities

• Review DoD datasets assessed as likely to contain identifying information on known or suspected terrorists.
• Prioritize and record information from those datasets as specified by the Government.
• Crosscheck against other intelligence holdings to ensure completeness and avoid duplicate entries.
• Compile information into nomination reports, format, classify and address them correctly, and correct and resubmit incorrect reports.
• Prepare reports for dissemination as record message traffic or other methods specified by the Government.
• Guide less experienced team members and attend meetings, conferences and intelligence exchanges supporting the Watchlisting mission.

Required profile

• TS/SCI POLY security clearance required.
• High school/GED; minimum 2 years of experience.
• Preferred: 4 years of related experience, at least some in the last 2 years, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Understanding of the 200 series of ODNI ICDs (203, 206, 208) and ability to produce written assessments, graphics and briefings to DIA and ODNI standards.
• Ability to use research databases such as the Global Terrorism Database and quantifiable matrices.
• Drug-free workplace; employment is contingent on passing drug screening.
