Warfare Analyst – Navy (San Diego)

About the role

Cortina Solutions is seeking a high‑impact Warfare Analyst to support complex, multi‑domain naval operations for San Diego Fleet units. The analyst will apply qualitative and quantitative methods to shape future naval warfare tactics and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct doctrine research, development, and analysis across multiple warfare domains.
• Apply Operations Research/Systems Analysis methods such as statistical analysis, decision theory, mathematical programming, and probabilistic modeling.
• Support studies of concepts, system designs, emerging technologies, and tactical decision aids.
• Provide on‑site support to fleet units, participate in squadron events, and assist with training, exercise observation, TTP validation, and tactical analysis.

Required profile

• 3‑7+ years of relevant civilian or military experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Active DOD Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, CONUS or OCONUS.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of fleet operations and operational‑level analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, decision theory, mathematical programming, and probabilistic modeling.
• Experience with mine/counter‑mine warfare systems and tactics (preferred).
• Effective communication of analytical findings to diverse stakeholders.
