Warehouse Manager

About the role

Abatix is seeking a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient storage, shipping, receiving, and distribution, and foster a high‑performing team. The role is central to maintaining professionalism, safety, and operational excellence across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
• Interview, hire, train, and develop warehouse personnel.
• Implement and enforce safety and security policies to keep the facility clean and organized.
• Plan workload to meet delivery schedules, locations, and customer expectations.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Schedule and monitor freight and parcel shipments according to the carrier program.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and ensure timely data entry.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and participate in departmental meetings.

Required profile

• 4+ years of warehouse management experience (preferred).
• Forklift certification and ability to maintain it per company policy.
• Strong leadership, team‑building, and customer‑service mindset.
• Professional, dependable, organized with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Forklift operation and certification.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and general office computer tools.
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic math, including algebra, geometry, and business calculations.
