Warehouse Associate - Wire Rope Slings & Custom Assemblies

About the role

A Warehouse Associate at gmesupply is responsible for accurately manufacturing wire rope slings and custom lifting assemblies according to product specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures and the ability to work with various fabrication tools and equipment while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut and assemble wire rope and related components according to job specifications.
• Operate hydraulic presses, cut-off saws and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use hand tools such as saws, hammers, crimpers and measuring tools during fabrication.
• Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality standards and proper construction.
• Navigate basic computer systems to process job orders, input fabrication data and track production.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials and completed assemblies within the shop when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and communicate with supervisors and team members about job status, material needs and fabrication issues.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines, assist colleagues and participate in training programs.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver larger assemblies and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
