Voice Teacher (Part‑Time)

About the role

Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced voice (and optionally piano) instructor to teach part‑time at Music House School of Music locations in Lenexa and Overland Park, KS. Classes are primarily scheduled on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Teach private voice lessons tailored to each student’s strengths and interests.
• Lead group classes using the Music House curriculum, including early‑childhood groups (ages 4‑5) when needed.
• Attend monthly faculty meetings and assist with three community events per year (recitals, jam sessions, faculty concerts).
• Communicate with parents, faculty, and administrative staff, track attendance, and maintain detailed teaching notes.
• Prepare students for group and individual performances and follow lesson plans or teaching guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in music education or performance preferred.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience; group teaching experience is a plus.
• Performance experience in both solo and ensemble settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and ability to pass a background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, internet browsers, and various online applications.
