About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a senior‑level Health Information Technology (HIT) student for a visiting position focused on clinical billing compliance. This short‑term role provides hands‑on exposure to coding and auditing processes within a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities
- Attend regularly scheduled Clinical Billing Compliance training sessions, manager meetings, and webinars.
- Observe and support the Clinical Billing Compliance Education manager.
- Receive a coding/auditing case, research applicable processes, and draft a proposed response.
- Document findings and contribute to compliance documentation.
Required profile
- Active senior‑level student enrolled in a Health Information Technology college program that includes a clinical rotation.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or holding an approved exemption.
