Vice President - Technology Procurement

About the role

Proxima is hiring a Vice President for its IT and Technology practice in Chicago. The role provides executive leadership across clients, teams and the firm, combining deep domain expertise, client delivery, business development and thought leadership. It leads high-risk, high-growth client programs, shapes long-term client strategy and plays a key part in the firm's growth and market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead executive-level client engagements and complex, high-value programs for senior and C-suite stakeholders
• Shape and influence client strategy, vision and transformation agendas
• Ensure consistent delivery excellence and client satisfaction
• Build and manage senior client relationships and pipelines, and identify and convert new growth opportunities
• Contribute to market positioning and thought leadership
• Mentor senior consulting talent, champion the apprenticeship and feedback culture, and foster high-performance, inclusive teams
• Lead domain expertise, IP creation and capability development, and act as an internal and external Proxima ambassador
• Influence strategic direction and firm-wide initiatives

Required profile

• Extensive consulting and leadership experience, including 10+ years in global IT procurement
• Deep subject matter expertise in enterprise software, IT services and/or cloud hosting
• Experience with spend profiles over $50M annually
• Proven ability to influence C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial, financial and strategic acumen, and a track record of growing teams, clients and capabilities
