Vice President of Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

The Vice President of Cybersecurity Operations will lead the unified cyber command for a newly merged financial institution. This executive will shape strategy, protect member data, and ensure resilient operations across all digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mature the enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) with 24/7 monitoring, detection, triage, escalation, and response.
• Oversee SIEM, EDR, threat‑intelligence platforms and integrate them across the enterprise.
• Define and track operational metrics such as MTTD, MTTR, alert fidelity, and incident trends.
• Own the cyber incident response program, develop playbooks, and coordinate crisis response with IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Communications and senior leadership.
• Direct business continuity and disaster recovery strategy, validate critical processes, and report resilience posture to executives.
• Guide application security and secure software delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in cybersecurity operations within a financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large SOC teams and multi‑disciplinary incident response efforts.
• Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for executive and cross‑functional collaboration.
