Vice President IT Operations

About the role

Verra Mobility is looking for a strategic and hands‑on Vice President of IT Operations to own the reliability, performance and cost‑effectiveness of its global IT environment. The role will drive infrastructure strategy, cloud adoption, database management and end‑user services while leading high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for enterprise infrastructure, including data centers, cloud platforms, networks, servers, storage and virtualization.
• Ensure high availability, capacity planning, disaster recovery and business continuity for core systems.
• Lead cloud migration, adoption and optimization initiatives across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Oversee database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery and lifecycle management.
• Manage end‑user hardware and software lifecycle, standardizing technology and licensing.
• Direct the IT service desk, establishing SLAs, KPIs and ITSM processes for incident, problem, change and request management.
• Build, mentor and grow an IT operations organization, handling budgeting, vendor contracts and operational reporting.
• Partner with application, security, privacy and business teams to support enterprise initiatives and drive process automation.

Required profile

• 12+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in senior IT operations leadership.
• Proven track record managing enterprise infrastructure, databases, end‑user computing and service desk functions.
• Strong ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and influence executive stakeholders.
• Experience developing and managing IT budgets, vendor relationships and operational metrics.
