Vice President Human Resources

About the role

We are a fast‑growing consumer services company entering a major expansion phase. We need a strategic, hands‑on Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition to design and launch our HR function from the ground up, supporting rapid growth and new enterprise contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the HR organization, policies, and operating model.
• Design and implement comprehensive employee benefits programs.
• Develop HR strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Lead talent acquisition, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
• Select, implement, and optimize HRIS, payroll, and applicant‑tracking systems.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Establish performance‑management, training, and development frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, OSHA, FMLA, and workers’ compensation.
• Drive organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Develop employee‑engagement and retention initiatives using HR analytics and continuous improvement.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience building an HR department from scratch.
• 6+ years of HR management experience.
• Direct experience evaluating and implementing employee benefits.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Leadership across talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and executive‑influencing skills.
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on execution in a start‑up environment.
