Vice President, AI & Data Strategy, Americas

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead AI and Data Strategy across the Americas. This senior leader will shape the vision, roadmap, and execution of data‑driven initiatives that support business growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for AI and data strategies across the Americas.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on internal and third‑party data and AI capabilities to drive product development and improvement.
• Evaluate and implement AI tools and capabilities to achieve process efficiencies and cost reductions.
• Drive data and AI design methodology for new products, including data requirements, AI intake processes, and documentation of data briefs and flows.
• Translate business strategies into data and AI requirements, identify gaps, and lead remediation efforts.
• Engage strategic leaders across the region to evangelise best practices and build collaborative relationships.
• Represent Mastercard externally to influence stakeholders and advance the company’s reputation in AI and data.
• Define and monitor success metrics such as AI intake throughput and other relevant KPIs.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, operational ownership, and accountability.

Required profile

• Strategic and analytical mindset with a strong understanding of data and AI.
• Proven leadership experience in AI or data‑driven strategy roles.
• Ability to engage and collaborate across diverse business teams.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Track record of driving innovation and operational excellence.
