About the role

Join the State of Georgia as a Veteran Services Assistant, supporting military members, veterans, and their families with information on education benefits, disability claims, healthcare, and counseling. This work‑study position is open exclusively to Chattahoochee Technical College students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate information on education benefits, disability claims, healthcare assistance, and counseling to veterans and their families.
• Connect clients with community partners and additional resources.
• Maintain organized files and records related to veteran services.

Required profile

• Clear communication and ability to convey precise information.
• Punctual, dependable, patient, and understanding of the veteran community.
• Strong organizational and filing abilities.
• Eligibility: must be a Chattahoochee Technical College student, have completed FAFSA, demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. citizen or eligible non‑citizen, maintain good academic standing, and pass a background check.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $12.00.
• Maximum of 19 work‑study hours per week.
