Venue Technology Supervisor - Xfinity Center

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Venue Technology Supervisor for the Xfinity Center in Mansfield. The role is customer service focused, with the ability to work independently and flexibly support other Legends Hospitality locations. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities, and who can work during most events at the facility, including late nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Provide event-day setup and support of multiple point-of-sale systems, and level 1 and 2 support for POS problems, escalating to internal and external service providers when needed
• Provide desktop support to internal staff and serve as the building-wide point of contact for IT matters
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement changes
• Conduct stadium walk-throughs to check that all systems are operational before and during events
• Replace defective hardware and diagnose software, firmware and hardware errors, then implement fixes
• Track RMA's of equipment going in and out for repairs
• Initiate and implement improvements in areas of responsibility, and perform other duties assigned by the IT Manager and Controller

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field (experience can substitute for education)
• 1-3+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to report to the stadium at least 4 hours before each game or event, and flexible scheduling with reliable transportation
• Willingness to work at other Legends sites in the LA/OC area and to adapt quickly to schedule changes
• Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds, and to stand or sit for long periods

Required skills

• Basic PC hardware knowledge and networking (TCP/IP, VLANs)
• Windows 2003, 2008, 2008R2 administration; Windows XP/7 and Microsoft Office
• Wireless LAN concepts, virtual environments (servers and desktops), and wireless security terminology
• CAT5/6 crimping and LAN cabling
• Quest, Counterpoint or SQL systems
• Preferred: event support or retail sales exposure, and relevant industry certifications

Pay rate: $18-$22 per hour. Applicants must follow safety policies and complete safety training.
